Soccer Scribbles – 8-30-2006

Thank you to everyone who came out for last Saturday’s game at Eastside Park against Pittsville.

While we only had five players against the other team’s full squad, The Green Machine managed to pull off a win by the score of 3-1 thanks to the great hustle and teamwork of our players.  I am looking forward to a good season this year and I am encouraged at the effort that the team put forth on Saturday.

Our next game is this coming up on Saturday, Sept. 2 (see the Schedule page for more details)  Please make plans on being at the field thirty (30) minutes before game time for this game and all games (unless otherwise noted).

Directions to the field can be found by following the “Field Directions” link on the side of this blog.  Please do not hesitate to call me if you need directions.  I should have my cell phone at the games, so if you ever get lost heading for a game, call my cell phone and someone should be able to direct you to the game. We also have a game on Tuesday night, September 5 against St. Francis.  Again, more details about the game – including game time and field location can be found by viewing the Schedule page.  I still have a lot of “goodies” for those who have not been out lately.  I have team shirts, a certificate for a free soccer ball, information about pictures, game schedules, and field location directions to give out to everyone that does not yet have these items.  Please make sure that you see me at the next game to pick up any of these items that you do not already have.  Below is a picture of our tired team from Saturday.  Good job, team.
