The Green Machine finishes with a win!
On Saturday, October 28, the Green Machine had its last game of the season as we took on Salisbury Christian School at our home field. Once again, the Green Machine took on their opponent and played with skill and determination as we came away with a hard-fought victory of 5 goals to 1. We played this game with only six players, but the team hustled well and I heard only a few complaints about being tired.
While the field was a little bit wet, the Green Machine did not let that deter them as we attacked the goal time and again. The big puddle in front of the one goal made for an interesting time as the ball generally stopped in the puddle. It was great to see Curtis attack the ball in the puddle and not let it bother him. Others, however, acted as if they were a little afraid of the puddle. Brady, Jacob and Josiah all scored goals in this game and the team played well.
I have some announcements to make regarding the end of the year party and an indoor soccer season, but those will be on a separate post. Instead, I will include some pictures of the last game on this post and the announcements on the next post.
